San Mateo, California -- Digital media company FreeWheel has landed $16.8 million in new institutional and strategic venture capital funding.
FreeWheel is developing online technologies to create revenue opportunities from video advertising.
Steamboat Ventures led the round, which included previous investors Battery Ventures, Foundation Capital and Turner Broadcasting. The company said it would use the funding to further scale its infrastructure. |
