Amyris Bio Nets $48 Million Venture Capital Funding

Amyris Biotechnologies
has raised $47.8 million in a new round of institutional venture capital investment.
Amyris says that it is developing cost-effective and high-value natural compounds by leveraging breakthroughs in synthetic biology.
Temasek Holdings made the investment. The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
