Infineta Systems Closes $15 Million Series A

San Mateo, California  --  Software company Infineta Systems said that it has closed its first round of institutional venture capital at $15 million.

Infineta Systems says that it is "pioneering a new class of network infrastructure that will address the acute, emerging challenges of the modern data center."

Investors in the round included Alloy Ventures and North Bridge Venture Partners.  The company did not specifically say how it would use the funding proceeds.
