Ooyala Chooses Cassandra For Video Analytics

Mountain View, California  --  Online video application company Ooyala announced that it has deployed Cassandra as its new video system database.

Developed and open sourced by Facebook, Cassandra is a distributed database that is optimized for large data sets in an online environment.

With the new database, Ooyala says that it will enhance its existing analytics application and launch a new "Business Intelligence" system later in 2010.
