SpaceX Launches Falcon 9 Orbital Rocket

Cape Canaveral, Florida  --  Rocket technology company SpaceX announced the successful launch of the inaugural flight of its Falcon 9 rocket.

The company said that the rocket achieved all of its primary mission objectives into the targeted 250 km circular orbit of the earth.

SpaceX has a backlog of over 30 contracted missions, 18 of which are to deliver commercial satellites into orbit and the remainder are cargo missions, which include live plants and animals to and from the International Space Station.
