hi5 Networks Closes Series B Venture Capital

San Francisco, California  --  Internet social networking company hi5 Networks has garnered $14 million in its second round of institutional venture capital investment.

hi5 Networks says that it "provides a platform for established artists, underground talent, and everyday people to all gain prominence amongst a worldwide audience."

Crosslink Capital led the round, which also included Mohr Davidow Ventures. The company said it would use the new investment to accelerate its expansion into social gaming and virtual goods.
