Tesla Makes Hire To Expand Retail Presence

Palo Alto, California  --  Electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors has announced the hiring of George Blankenship as Vice President of Design and Store Development.

Blankenship is known as the architect of Apple Computer's successful retail store strategy, and comes to Tesla most recently from Microsoft.

Tesla hopes to improve the car buying retail experience under Blankenship. The company plans to open new stores in Tokyo, Japan, Toronto, Canada and Washington DC.
