BankSimple Nets Series A Venture Capital Round

Brooklyn, New York  --  Online financial services company BankSimple has secured $2.9 million in its first institutional round of venture capital investment.

BankSimple is developing a service that it says will make consumer banking simpler and easier.

Investors in the round included First Round Capital, IA Ventures, SV Angel and Village Ventures. The company did not disclose specifically how the proceeds purposes would be used.
