Digital Assent Secures $2 Million For Healthcare IT

Atlanta, Georgia  --  Healthcare IT company Digital Assent has garnered $2 million its first round of venture capital financing.

Digital Assent has created the "Patient Pad", which is an electronic tablet computer that automates the patient intake process.

Imlay Investments led the round, which also included other investors.

The company said it would use the funding to expand its sales and marketing initiatives.
