Airtime Flies With Series A VC Funding

   San Francisco, California  --  Internet technology company Airtime has secured $8.3 million in its first round of institutional venture capital investment.

Airtime is still in stealth mode but appears to be developing a way for users to expand their social network that will include a live video chat component.

Investors in the round included Founders Fund, Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, A Grade Investments, SV Angel and CrunchFund.

Proceeds purposes from the financing were not disclosed.
