Campbell, California  --  Increased smartphone hacking attempts are fueling a significant growth in mobile security client software purchases, according to a report by Infonetics Research.

The report states that the opportunity is growing dramatically for financially motivated hacking because of the nearly 3 billion new smartphones and tablet computers expected to ship between 2010 and 2015.

As a result, the report forecasts that the global market for both desktop and mobile security clients will reach $8.2 billion by 2015.
