Appcelerator Adds Series C VC Financing

   Mountain View, California  --  Software developer Appcelerator has received $15 million in its third round of institutional venture capital investment.

Appcelerator has created a platform for building rich web applications for mobile, tablet and desktop environments.

Mayfield Fund and Translink Capital led the round, which included previous investors.

The company said it would use the financing to fund its expansion into Europe and Asia.
