Langley Park, Maryland  --  Citi Community Development has partnered with the CASA de Maryland to launch a microloan program for legal permanent residents seeking naturalization.

The pilot loan initiative will provide six-month microloans for $680, the cost of applying for citizenship, which has typically been a significant barrier to finalizing the naturalization process.

The program is also in partnership with Citizenship Maryland and has received the support of Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Congressman Chris Van Hollen.
