Blackstone LaunchPad Expands With New Grants

   Cleveland, Ohio  --  The Blackstone Charitable Foundation and The Burton D. Morgan Foundation announced $3.2 million in grants to assist in training the next generation of entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio.

The grants were given to a number of colleges and universities in Northeast Ohio, including Case Western Reserve University and Kent State University.





The grants will expand the existing Blackstone LaunchPad, which was first started in 2010 in Detroit.

The curriculum and program is based on one developed at the University of Miami in 2008 and has since created 65 start-up ventures, 120 new jobs and nearly 2,000 student participants.
