Cloudera Closes $40 Million Series D Financing

   Palo Alto, California  --  Software technology company Cloudera has garnered $40 million in its fourth round of venture capital investment, according to the company.

Cloudera provides enterprise-level support to users of the Apache Hadoop open source software application.

Ignition Partners led the financing round, which included previous investors Accel Partners, Greylock Partners, Meritech Capital Partners and In-Q-Tel.

The company said it would use the financing to expand its marketing and sales initiatives.
