Catabasis Pharma Adds $8 Million To First VC Round

Cambridge, Massachusetts  --  Catabasis Pharmaceuticals has raised another $8 million in an extension of its first round of venture capital investment.

Catabasis is developing medicines to treat inflammatory and metabolic diseases.

Existing investors SV Life Sciences, Clarus Ventures, MedImmune Ventures and Advanced Technology Ventures may be additional investment.

The company said it would use the new funding to accelerate the development of its CAT-2003 compound.
