RAVE Entertainment System Has Inaugural Flight

Brea, California  --  The IMS Company announced the inaugural flight of its in-flight entertainment system aboard a Sri Lankan Airlines aircraft.

The system, called RAVE, is a seat-centric entertainment package that stores content and playback functionality independently in each seatback display unit.

The advantages of the system are that it eliminates the "single point of failure scenario" that airlines currently have to cope with while at the same time providing a low weight load.

IMS said the debut was after nearly 4 years of development and production.
