Calisolar Collects $8 Million Venture Capital Debt

   Sunnyvale, California  --  Alternative energy company Calisolar has garnered $8 million in additional venture capital debt funding, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Calisolar designs and markets solar cells in high volumes for the photovoltaic industry.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

The amount funded included options, warrants or other rights to acquire another security.
