Veeco Launches New HB LED Production System

   Plainview, New York  --  Veeco Instruments (NASDAQ: VECO) has announced the introduction of a new system for production of high brightness light emitting diodes (HB LEDs).

Called the TurboDisc MaxBright Gallium Nitride (GaN) Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) Multi-Reactor System, the system features expanded wafer capacity and advanced, closed loop, thermal control technology.

The company says that the reactors achieve 25% higher throughput with higher quality production.
