Big Switch Raises First VC Financing

Palo Alto, California -- Networking software company Big Switch Networks (no website) has secured $13.8 million in first-round venture capital financing, according to an SEC regulatory filing.
Big Switch is is a stealth mode company that is commercializing network virtualization technologies based on OpenFlow.
Investors listed in the filing were Index Ventures and Matrix Partners. The company did not disclose how the funding proceeds would be used.
