Amprius Adds $25 Million Venture Capital

Menlo Park, California  --  Energy technology company Amprius has raised $25 million in a new round of institutional venture capital investment.

Amprius says that it is developing advanced materials and nanotechnology for improved energy storage.

Investors in the round included Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Trident Capital, VantagePoint Venture Partners, Stanford University and Chinese investors.

The company said it would use the financing to deploy its first commercial product.
