Flat World Knowledge Gets Strategic Investment

   Irvington, New York  --  Internet company Flat World Knowledge has garnered new strategic venture capital investment, according to the company.

Flat World offers textbooks for free to students via the Internet, print, audio, by-the-chapter and other means.

Random House made the investment. The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
