Active Implants Receives $3 Million Venture Capital

   Memphis, Tennessee  --  Medical device company Active Implants has secured $3.2 million in new venture capital debt, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Active Implants says that it is developing new material that it believes will lead to longer lasting implants and more resistance to deterioration and infection.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed. The company is seeking $6.9 million in additional financing.
