Sallie Mae Launches New Rewards App

   Newark, Delaware  --  Education loan company Sally Mae (NYSE: SLM) has announced the launch of a new smartphone application for college students.

Called Upromise, the location-based service searches nearby restaurants, retailers and other service locations offering rewards.

When a user makes an eligible purchase, they earn rewards that can be used to pay down a student loan or receive cash.
