BranchOut Bags $18 Million Venture Capital Round

San Francisco, California  --  Social networking company BranchOut has secured $18 million in a new round of venture capital investment.

BranchOut has created an application on Facebook that enables users to find out where friends are working or have worked in the past.

Redpoint Ventures led the round, which also included previous investors Accel Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Floodgate.

The company said it would use the financing proceeds to hire sales and engineering personnel.
