Aurora Algae Accepts Venture Capital Equity

   Alameda, California  --  Alternative energy company Aurora Algae has received $3.7 million in new venture capital investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Aurora is developing what it calls "high-performance, sustainable algae-based alternatives that improve the way we live and grow."

Proceeds purposes from the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company would use the proceeds.

Aurora is still seeking approximately $8.5 million in additional financing.
