Digital Assent Adds Second Venture Capital Round

Atlanta, Georgia  --  Healthcare IT company Digital Assent has secured $7.5 million in its second round of institutional venture capital financing.

Digital has created the "PatientPad", a portable tablet device that speeds up patient registration and insurance eligibility confirmation.

Buckhead Investment Partners co-led the round, which also included Imlay Investments and other investors.

The company said it would hire additional staff to support its national rollout.
