Samsung Nexus S On Last Shuttle Flight

   Kennedy Space Center, Florida  --  The Samsung Nexus S model smartphone is aboard the last NASA space shuttle mission to the International Space Station.

Three of the phones are part of a research project that will add to the capabilities of the SPHERES satellites currently being tested in space.

The company said that the Nexus S is the first commercial smartphone to be certified by NASA to fly in the space shuttle and be cleared for use on the International Space Station.
