Supermarket Launches In-Store Mobile Scanning App

   Quincy, Massachusetts  --  The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company announced the launch of an in-store handheld scanner software application.

Called Scan It! Mobile, the application enables customers to scan and bag their groceries while using their handheld mobile phone as a scanner and payment device.

The system operates for Apple iPhones and is currently being pilot tested in three stores.
