Cummins To Meet Fuel Efficiency Standards Early

   Columbus, Indiana  --  Commercial engine manufacturer Cummins (NYSE: CMI) has announced its intention to meet the new proposed greenhouse gas emissions and fuel efficiency standards for medium and heavy-duty vehicles.

The rule finalized by the EPA and the DOT establishes standards for engines in 2014 and 2017.

Cummins says that its relevant engines will be certified to meet the new requirements on January 1, 2013.
