RootMusic Nabs $16 Million Venture Capital

  San Francisco, California  --  Internet company RootMusic has landed $16 million in series B round of institutional venture capital funding, according to the company.

RootMusic has created software that allows users to better promote their music and bands on Facebook.

GGV Capital led the round, which included previous investors Mohr Davidow Ventures and Northgate Capital.

The company said it would use the financing to expand its team and integrate with strategic partners.
