10gen Collects $20 Million Fourth VC Funding

   New York, New York  --  Database technology company 10gen has received $20 million in its series D round of venture capital investment.

10gen has created the MongoDB platform as a service technology to assist developers in quickly building scalable websites and applications.

Sequoia Capital led the round, which included other previous investors Flybridge Capital Partners and Union Square Ventures.

The company said it would use the financing to meet growing demand for its products.
