Alphabet Energy Secures Series A Venture Financing

San Francisco, California  --  Clean tech company Alphabet Energy has closed $12 million in its first round of institutional venture capital investment.

Alphabet is in the process of commercializing waste heat recovery technology for the conversion of waste heat into electricity.

Private equity firm TPG Biotech led the round, which included Claremont Creek Ventures and the CalCEF Clean Energy Angel Fund.

The company said it would use the proceeds to accelerate product development, initiate pilot projects and general corporate purposes.
