Aria Diagnostics Secures Third VC Financing

San Jose, California  --  Biotechnology company Aria Diagnostics has garnered $52.7 million in series C round of institutional venture capital investment.

Aria is developing blood tests that assist pregnant women in making decisions regarding the health of their baby.

Investors in the round included Meritech Capital Partners, Venrock and Domain Associates.

The company said it would use the financing to support product development and prepare commercialization efforts for its Down syndrome detection technology.
