Louisville, Kentucky  --  GE Appliances and Flint Energies announced the launch of a two year smart pilot program for consumer appliance testing.

The pilot will consist of ten volunteer households in Georgia receiving a full suite of GE "Brillion"-enabled appliances.

These appliances will connect to GE's Whole-Home Sensor, which will enable the households to receive real-time energy data without a smart meter.

In addition, the appliances will be equipped with intelligent features to reduce energy consumption based on "peak-time rebate signals from the utility."
