Venture Capital 2012 Performance Metrics Published

New England Region  --  A number of statistics have been published by private equity analysis firms that show that venture capital returns are showing signs of improvement.

The Cambridge Associates US VC Index for the 10 year period ending June 2012 showed a return of 5.28%, up from 1.25% in the previous year.

Preqin published data that showed that there is a greater divergence between top quartile venture capital firm returns and the other 75%, as the bigger and better firms continue to distance themselves from the pack.
