Avalanche Technology Nets First VC Financing

   Fremont, California  --  Semiconductor company Avalanche Technology has raised $11.5 million in series A round of institutional venture capital investment.

Avalanche has developed technology that it says will "solve the technology scaling challenges faced by existing charge based memories."

Vulcan Capital led the round, which also included Bessemer Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, Leader Ventures, QUALCOMM and Thomvest Ventures.

The company did not disclose how the funding proceeds would be used.
