AuthenTec Debuts Mac Fingerprint Security Solution

Melbourne, Florida -- Security technology firm AuthenTec (NASDAQ: AUTH) has announced the launch of a new fingerprint security solution.

Designed for Apple Mac laptops and desktop computers running the Lion and Snow Leopard operating systems, the solution includes an Eikon fingerprint sensor and related identity management software.

The functionality features the ability to log on to websites with the swipe of a finger, instead of using passwords.

The new technology will be available in March for $59.95 from Apple.com, Amazon.com and the AuthenTec Web store at store.AuthenTec.com.
