San Carlos, California -- Education technology company Clever has secured $3 million in seed stage venture capital investment.

Clever is developing technologies that help to "make powerful educational software easy to build and easy to deploy."

Y Combinator and individual investors made the investment.

The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
