Instacart Receives Seed Venture Capital Investment

San Francisco, California  --  Consumer startup Instacart has garnered $2.3 million in seed venture capital financing.



Instacart is developing technologies that connect smartphone-equipped drivers who grocery shop for consumers.



Canaan Partner and Khosla Ventures made the investment.



The company said it would use the financing to expand its service to six additional cities from currently serving the Bay Area.
