Affirmed Networks Emerges With $52 Million VC

   Acton, Massachusetts  --  Wireless technology company Affirmed Networks has raised $52 million in a new round of venture capital and strategic financing.

Affirmed has just emerged from stealth mode and is in trials with several mobile operators for its technologies.

Investors in the round included Charles River Ventures, Matrix Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, T-Venture Funds and Vodafone Group.

Proceeds purposes were not disclosed.
