23andMe Nets $50 Million 4th Venture Capital Round

   Mountain View, California  --  Healthcare information technology company 23andMe has garnered $50 million in its Series D round of institutional and private venture capital investment.

23andMe enables individuals to obtain genetic information about themselves and analyze the result for potential health consequences.

New Enterprise Associates, Google Ventures, MPM Capital worthy institutional investors in the round, which also included individual investors.

The company said it would use the financing to achieve its growth goal of 1 million customers.
