ArmaGen Technologies Nets Series A Venture Capital

Santa Monica, California -- Biotechnology company ArmaGen Technologies has raised $17 million in its first institutional venture capital financing.

ArmaGen is developing technologies that can "non-invasively target recombinant proteins, therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and siRNA to the brain."

A number of corporate and venture capital firms participated in the financing.

The company said it would use the proceeds to begin clinical trials of its lead candidate.
