AlienVault Adds Second Venture Capital Funding

   Campbell, California  --  Security technology company AlienVault has landed $8 million in its series B round of institutional venture capital funding.
 
AlienVault has created the Open Source Security Information Management family of products for what it says is more than half of all SIM installations in the world.




Trident Capital led the round, which also included Adara Venture Partners.

The company said it would use the funding to accelerate research and development and expand its sales and marketing efforts.
