Dallas, Texas  -- Startup Texas has announced the launch of a new regional chapter of its young company growth initiative.

Called Startup DFW, the new organization will help create a collaborative ecosystem for the entrepreneurial community in North Texas. The group plans a local kickoff event in February as an opportunity to generate the initial interest.

Startup Texas is working with the Startup America Partnership, a national organization designed to provide assistance to entrepreneurs in a variety of areas, including expertise, services, talent, customers and capital access.

Startup America's chairman is Steve Case, founder of America Online.
