Aereo Nabs Series A Venture Capital Financing

   Long Island City, New York  --  Digital media company Aereo has garnered $20.5 million in its first round of institutional venture capital investment.

Aereo has created technology that it says "revolutionizes the way consumers watch broadcast TV."

Investors in the round included IAC, FirstMark Capital, First Round Capital, High Line Venture Partners and Highland Capital Partners.

The company did not disclose how the proceeds would be used.
