California Stem Sees $2 Million New Financing

   Irvine, California  --  Biotechnology company California Stem Cell has received $1.95 million in new venture capital investment, according to a regulatory filing.

California Stem Cell says that it is developing high-purity human cells for a variety of therapeutic applications.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed.

The company is still seeking $8.05 million in additional financing, according to the filing.
