BioAmber Bags $30 Million Series C Financing

   Plymouth, Minnesota  --  Clean technology company BioAmber has raised $30 million in its third round of institutional venture capital funding.

BioAmber uses agricultural crops to create green chemicals that serve as substitutes for fossil fuel chemicals.

Investors in the round included Naxos Capital Partners, Mitsui & Co., Lanxess AG and others.

The company said it would use the financing to launch a new generation of plasticizers.
