Appcelerator Raises $16 Million VC Round

   Mountain View, California  --  IT company Appcelerator has secured $16 million in new venture capital investment, according to VentureWire.

Appcelerator has created an open source platform that helps developers create rich web applications faster and cheaper.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
