Avid Launches Video Studio App For iPad

Burlington, Massachusetts -- Software technology company Avid (Nasdaq: AVID) has announced the launch of its first video editing application for the Apple iPad platform.
Called
Avid Studio
, the application enables users to edit video, photos and audio in either their iTunes or iPad libraries. Users can arrange video clips in the "Storyboard" and make necessary anedits using the company's Timeline functionality. The final product can then be exported to popular video sharing sites such as YouTube, Facebook and others.
The application is available for what the company refers to as an "introductory price" of $4.99.
